that's how long my blog has been dead. so much has happened, but i just don't have the motivation to update and upload everything. we can all agreed i'm not a blog person, hmmmm...maybe i should write a journal. (;

GOH HUI LING, i'm doing this because you're unable to join us for CNY and the fact that you're gonna miss out on the fun, money and lots of good food. i don't need to remind you right? LOLS. anyway, you probably would have expected mummy and papa anticipation for CNY preparation, but it just gets more exaggerating year after year. ~.~ They went for at least 3 or 4 trips to shop for all these decors, check this out.
First - The Front Yard It's like we're having our own flowers bazaar, the pots of yellow chrysanthemums are definitely getting bigger, taller and much more heavier. And guess what? These are not all, i think we still have 2 pots of 'oranges plants' coming.
Moving along, it's our 'men pai', mummy even polish it till shining clean. Papa chose the 2 dragons decor and for now remember how the 'chun' looks like, you'll be somewhat amazed later.
Next - The Front Area
Wa lah! The same 'chun', just much bigger in size, it's like damn big and mummy keep boasting that they got it for $6+ at whampoa, other places sell for $10+. -.-" So they've got a mini version and a super big version. heh heh!
This year, even the doors were not spared. HAHA. =D
Finally - The Kitchen Area
The couch, the ceiling and any empty walls they could get their hands on, are all filled with blooming CNY spirits. Ah di and i got no comment. lols!

Everything is washed and cleaned, and ya even these 2 super dusty black bears. well basically, ah di forced mummy to wash them. haha!
Goodies are in, beverages all stocked up and we even got a hamper with normal stuff like mushrooms, canned abalone, bird's nest and some other normal expensive stuff. you feel like killing me, don't you? xD
Our freezer is totally packed, i don't know why this year some auntie gave us scallops when you're not around. We'll decide how much good food we can leave for you till you come back in march k.
If you are amused, feeling annoyed and want to beat me up, my job here is done. Don't worry about the ang bao money, ah di and i will keep it safe from mummy. hoho! ^^ Eat well, sleep well and come back soon soon soon!

have you ever wonder why everyone is looking at you?
The question is, have you ever wonder why everyone is looking at you? Don't worry, your hair is not in a mess and neither is your zipper unzipped. It's just y o u. I realise something today, and that is you're most vulnerable when you feel it. Your insecurities set in and it's engulfing you. I felt this a million times, i should be numb when i lost count and you know what? This is bull, because i experience something grievous.
Today someone lost their son, someone lost their boyfriend and the others lost their friend. Too quick, too sudden and becoming too common recently. Today someone collapsed and never got up, it's too real and near. Today i start living, i may need a nudge every now and then but my mind is clear, my soul is crystal and now, just breathe.

Happy HALLOWEEN.
Our first halloween party, how excited is that! even it's only 3 of us, the witches of the night, rini, stephanie and me. all dressed up in black, steph and i got our bag of treats from candy empire after work. then it's straight to rini's house, where we hit for an unexpected thrill ride up the lift. when the lift reached 2nd floor, surprising the house was all dark and before i could ask rini why, the freakish MONSTER showed up and scared the hell out of us! it's rini's little sister with a terrifying mask. -_-" well..that pretty much gets everything going. we got our food, bit pot of soup, honey glazed chicken, onion bread, pot of tea and some fries and fried chicken with custard puffs courtesy of rini's mum. =)

we were hoping for more Caucasian kids will be dressed up in costumes and trick-or-treating but it's quite quiet. so it's just us making a lot of noise, eating a lot of food and taking a lot of pictures. it's funny how we try to take photos that looks like we're witches flying, fully make use of the pool area, but quit after many failed attempts. i had fun and we all agreed to do this again next year, hopefully with more friends and proper costumes! our plate of treats. where are those trick-or-treaters? ;)
when the sun sets, the witches come out and play. we're missing some brooms and a few black cats! ^^
we are not desperate housewives wannabe!
gotta love my phone for its little tricks. (:
