IT'S THE WEEKEND! (=

28/09-FRI
mum and dad going for wedding dinner AGAIN, so that means no dinner at home, which MEAN time to find some dining victims. and it goes to none other than janice tan, it was an easy one! hees. she's just too nice, and love me too much to say no, poor thing. well..amelia supposed to join in but i "cunningly" brush her off with 30 more mins of OT, like i want to do OT amelia ong. -.-" anyway, i don't want to miss my dinner and ghost whisperer so we decided to head to carrefour to try out some 'home-cooked' soba, but couldn't find any, so we just grab anything that looks edible and appetizing. so here's what we got: ready-made Hawaiian pizza, sushi, donuts and hashbrown . what a way to start my weekend! thanks jan for the company and being my regular victim. hees. x)

our 'dinner', who wants to be my next victim? heh heh!

29/09-SAT
somebody's birthday! that's our 4/1 sweetest lady, R I N I_ :) we wanted to give her a surprise, so we didn't even sms, rejected her offer to her home and acted blur about the dinner at night. it was hard for her, she thought we've forgotten her birthday. =( sorry darling, just want to give you a BIG SURPRISE on behalf of your family and those deeply missed friends overseas. hope you like the bouquet of daisy, card and the bangle ya. our indo feast at tambuah mas was awesome, great food, great company with lots of laughter.

the birthday buddies of the night, and don't misunderstand, he didn't buy those flowers.

we did! (steph & i) a bouquet of daisy just for our darling. ;)

H-A-P-P-Y 2-3 B-D-A-Y-! R-I-N-I S-U-S-A-N-T-I; sweet donut surprise from loo, what more could you ask from a friend. =)

like i always say, no matter what you eat, what you do, where you are, it's the PEOPLE you are with that matters the most.

smiley faces! :)

next, we took our baker's inn strawberry cheesecake, proudly sponsored by the boys, to lido. (: sang the birthday song, took lots of pictures, cut the cake and ate the yummy cake! you know what's surprising? rini bought her own baker's inn tiramisu too, luckily we didn't buy the same flavour. hees. after messing around, we took a bus to rini's house, you know on the whole bus journey just remind us of our secondary and poly days, sigh..miss the good old days. just glad the familiar faces are still around us. =) finally, we reached rini's home, where she have prepared chips, wine, cake just to celebrate with us. to think that we've to lied to her that we couldn't make it for the surprise to succeed, she must be disappointed then. but it's all good now!

chocolate kisses with tiramisu, food of L O V E.

the clock strike 12, and it's ducky's birthday!! =D double celebration, happy days! we sure had lots of fun, i know the guys sure did, when they were watching guess x 3, as big booby girls is the topic of that episode. -.-" all and all, it's one of the forever 4/1 classic gathering. hope the missing people join us soon! =)

all engrossed in their show. -.-"

we couldn't be bothered with them either! HA HA! xp

happy birthday you guys! (:

30/09-SUN
tennis! tennis! tennis! thanks to rini, this week we still get to play tennis at her place. the tennis court right on top of the multi-storeys condo. it's more scary than how cool it sounds. we lost some tennis balls over the top of the fence, i think we need to get more new ones soon. lols! got hit by the tennis ball a couple of times, it's ok, if not i'll get lethargic. x_x

stay healthy peeps, tennis soon! :D

after sweating buckets, stupid anthony decided that he got craving for KFC. hello? let all the sweating and running gone for nothing. but he got his retribution, look at the pics and you'll know why. HAHA. =p

the girls did everything they can, to not let their exercise go to waste, so we chose these:

they chose family feast with 8 pieces of chickens, looking all excited and happy to satisfy his craving, poor loo.

look what happened?! *shakes head* xD

well..the perfect weekend i could ever ask for, after working, my life like many others, has practically turn into a 9-6 monday to friday plus OT routine. so weekends are my source of LIFE, to get all my energy back. that's all for the this weekend, can't wait for the next, meanwhile back to my computers and paperwork. LOLS. nights all. x)

HAPPY DAYS! (:

what a day! woke up 8.30am on a saturday morning to get ready for tennis session for my usual kakis. (: i actually look forward to it, even though i was reluctant to wake up so early on a weekend morning. but i know i need all the exercise i can get, you know office life, work for hours, eat, continue working, then eat again for the sake of taking a break, then continue sitting on your butt till the end of the day. kind of bad for your health, AND figure. O.o heh heh! whammy gave us a ride, thank you for providing the ride and some rihana tunes. ;D

i think my tennis is improving, i'm getting better with the serving and hitting on the sweet spot. i can hear my favourite 'pop' sound when i hit the ball, thanks to all my shi fu for their patient teaching, i will definitely continue to work hard. =) unfortunately, our tennis session was interrupted by some 'tennis court inspector' there, so we have to leave the court as we're not the students there. i'm just glad i got around 1.5 hours of practice before we got chased away. so what can we do? lunch of course! x)

we're always busy discussing about insignificant, unimportant and unnecessary stuff. we're a very easily distracted bunch! ;p

sa, this is for you! we miss you. (=

i know the pic looks a bit off, i don't care, sa so that you know, i'm in the pic too. hees!

pepper lunch for the first time! yummy yummy. i had chicken pepper rice, one of the cheapest. hoho.. i need to save some cash for the upcoming birthdays eh, but it's very tasty okay. ;) took a few snapshots for lissa, sa i'll send you the photos of our mini 'get together' later k. next, we wonder about at amk hub, like we always do. it gets a little frustrated sometimes when a big group of people loithering around without any plans, but if it's a saturday and everyone's free, i think we should just enjoy the companionship and just chill and have fun. well..i guess everyone's just tired after the morning exercise. anyway, they boys finally came to a conclusion on where to go, guess where? it's my house.

my chicken pepper rice, nice nice.

i do welcome them to my house, but everyone is on the verge of dozing off, seriously i just wish i could pretend to be resting and fall asleep on my bed. but that will be wrong, leaving 5 boys to my mum is just plain wrong. lols! so we end up playing poker with spongebob poker cards, but nothing seems interesting enough. finally we're able to wait for dinner time and go out for dinner, i'm just glad they stay to have dinner together because i'm supposed to be home alone for the night, parents going to wedding dinner, brother should be out all night. so thank you guys!

so again after much dilly dally and discussion, we decided to take anthony's suggestion to have indian food at a eating house called ghandi's restaurant. the thing is anthony is supposed to lead the way, but somehow there's a communication breakdown plus some misunderstanding, we end up walking quite a distance after alighting from whammy's car. but whatever it is, we got there eventually and i simply love the food and style there! first everyone has a big piece of banana leaf instead of plates, then we're served with scoops of rice, potatoes, long beans, salads, chilli and some crispy koropoks(sorry i don't know what they're called). we ordered chicken, so everyone has a plate of chilli chickens and bowls of vegetable curry. free flow of rice and koropoks, how cool is that, it's like a ethnic meal. steph got a little freak out, she normally don't dine like that, but in the end she actually kind of enjoy it i think. i'm just totally thrilled and enjoying my food! $6.50 for all of these! i can't tell you how happy i am, LOLS.

this is how much joy food can bring us, so shut up and just eat. ;)

all and all i enjoyed my saturday very much with the exercise, food and company. hope everyone enjoy it as much as i did, my forever 4/1. =) i'm so beat now, really need to jump into my bed. good night all. -.-zZzzz...

the SHAKING earth underneath.

EARTHQUAKE. maybe most of you have felt it, over the past years when earthquakes took place in our neighbouring countries, but this is a first for me. i'm back home now, because of the terrifying earthquake. this is what happened, just hours ago:

i was feeling exceptionally tired towards the end of the day, chris and i are just chatting and doing some last minute work, before heading home. suddenly, giddiness struck me, it's as if my brain was a spinning basketball in my head. i thought i was just too tired, i even stop a moment to just relax, was telling chris, "wah headache, it has been a while since i had this kind of feeling" and the next thing we know, our indian colleagues start packing and moving out together. chris and i were like, "what happened?". wanted to ask the others what happen, the next minute i heard my colleague saying, "eileen! pack up and go home already, earthquake!" the freaking window bind was hitting against the glass window as if there were a breeze in the office, it just tells us how serious and terrifying this earthquake was.

everybody packed as quickly as we can, and check out for other colleagues. the lifts were all packed so we decided to take the stairs. apparently 7 storeys doesn't mean 7 flights of stairs, we walk what, 10 flights of stairs and we're not the only ones, people from other floors are all using the stairs. when we reached the exit of the building, everybody was just standing outside and making phone calls. the next thing to do, is obviously going home.

on my way home, i called my mum to check things out, and my house has never ever felt anything maybe because we're only 1 storey high. however, this time even my mum and dad experience it at home. just hope that all my indo friends and their families are fine. the only good thing is that, no OT tonight. =) i'm still feeling a little dizzy, going to bed. goodnight.

peace.

The Voices VS. The Noises

08/09/07 - [Sat]
VOICES
after weeks of postponing, lionel, junior, jasmin and i finally made it to kbox! it's has been donkey years since i've been there. although it's just 4 of us, squeezing in the tiny little dark room without our dinner, you just can't go wrong with those guys. we had a blast! we were such cuckoos, eating our finger food, sipping our honey lemon and singing our hearts out. x) sang some songs, "recited" some and screwed the rest up, haha! at least that's what happened to me, it's like i don't know how my voice sounds like anymore, and i keep getting all the lyrics wrong, my mandarin is seriously deteriorating. LOLS. well..for the rest, lionel was happily getting beaten up by jasmin and junior just seat safely and quietly beside me to escape lionel's fate. haha! =D it was really fun, i enjoyed the short 3 hours.

jasmin introduced a really touching and meaningful cantonese song. i've got my bro and janice addicted so far, so i decided to post it on my blog to get more people addicted. heh heh heh! =p basically it's talking about when 2 people together and are truly in love with each other, you can overcome almost anything, skin colours, age, sexuality, opposing parties and what have you. well..it's the kind of thing that can be bulls***, but yet it would be really sweet and comforting to know and hear about. =) i really like the lyrics and MV so enjoy.

側田 - 命硬 KTV MV

okay coming back to our little gathering, after our K session ends at 10+, we had dinner at cine food court. we were chatting and laughing so loud, about what happened back then when we were working, and of course what's a gathering without gossiping? HAHA. we were so engrossed in conversations till the uncle have to wait for us to leave, before he can pack the tables and chairs and close the food court.

so we left, next stop is supposedly esplanade but we don't think we can walk that far, so it's the cathy. it's quite a long way walking there, so jasmin suggested we play this games whereby, you have to form a chinese words/phrase from the last word chosen by the last person. you know what's the forfeit? 1 freaking push-up on the spot and guess who's LUCKY NO. 1? yea..me! -_-"
lucky there wasn't a lot people, and then everyone got their fair share of embarrassment. next, change of game, jiu jiu chen fa biao(times table) and everyone suck at it! lols! finally, we reached the cathy, but a lot of people with no place to chill so, guess what? bencoolen kopitiam where it all started, plus it's 24 hours. chatted and gossiped about almost everything, from friends, to most serious self-injured experience, to scary stories, celebrity gossips.... so much so that it ended at 4 in the morning.

the best companions you could ever ask for. ;)

love those guys! haven't laugh that much for a long long time. hope to see them soon! (:

09/09/07 - [Sun]
NOISES
'bidding' dinner at hougang with my parent, bro, uncle and aunty. don't look at me? i'm just there for the good food. hehe! :D warned my mum to not spend unnecessary money on unnecessary items and guess what? the first item was successfully bid by my dad for $200, a big fat glass fish filled with lightings and oranges. ya..like we needed that. lols! along with that fish, we got a watch (my dad is obsessed with watches btw) and rice cooker, the only thing we needed is that rice cooker, for the one at home is antique. for the last dinner, they got a brand new mahjong set for $200, we got 2 sets at home btw, but they have to get this brand new golden one. so goh hui ling, i took this pics for you. these are the extra items in our house.

the 'must-have' watch. ;p

all and all, it was a fun and fulfilling weekend. work again tml, so good night! (=

so it does happen on buses...O.o

something ridiculous happened just now, when i'm on way home, in the bus. you know after more than 10 hours of working, you can do with a peaceful and safe bus ride home, with music from the radio. some people just have to go ruin it. okay..this is what happened:

this woman came up the bus talking on the phone, apparently she didn't tap her ez-link card and just walk to the back of the bus, that's why the bus driver called out to her. you know what she did? she said, "wait! wait!" in such a hasty tone. then she put down her phone, starting to look everywhere and wanted to alight from the bus 30 secs aft she board it. -_-" you know what's the worst thing, she couldn't even wait to get down at the next bus stop which is only a 5 mins walk away, kept pressing the bell and yelling at the bus driver to let her alight while the bus stop at the traffic light. the poor bus uncle keep asking her to wait till the bus reach the bus stop, but she insisted that it's ok to alight since there's no one looking, and that she need to walk back to the previous bus stop. the most irritating thing is that she can't stop pressing that FREAKING BELL!

she said something like that, "i was waiting for a cab, there's no cab! or else you think i want to board your bus!" like who the hell force her to board the bus. luckily there was this kind auntie who said something like, "then it's your fault, why are yelling at the driver for your mistake" then that woman went bonkers, when we finally reached the next stop, she screamed so loudly, "KAI MEN!" (which means open the door in mandarin by the way) and she scolded #%$#@@$%#% before rushing down the bus, what a coward. >_>

so this kind of things really does happen on buses, like those fights and assaults reported in the news. so people, please avoid this kind of things from happening, it's a waste of time, waste of breath and most importantly, it annoys people like me who have worked our butts off from morning till night, we have better things to do than to tolerate this kind of s***! so remember, be polite, everyone is just trying to do their job. (:

ahhh..feeling all better now that everything's out of the chest. so good night! =)
